MODESTA PLUSCON 2025

This year's conference was held at Fuji Speedway in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. Not too far from Tokyo, the track is nestled in the foothills that sit right at the base of the picturesque Mount Fuji (pictured above left), providing sweeping, panoramic views of one of Japan’s most iconic natural landmarks. Being able to train, learn, and collaborate with others in a place so incredibly stunning made for a truly unforgettable trip. We were in awe the entire time!

SO WHAT IS MODESTA PLUSCON?



For those unfamiliar, Modesta Pluscon is a training conference that was established in 2013 in Bratislava, Slovakia, and is credited as the world’s first ever international, professional-only detailing event. It's hosted about every two years in all different corners of the world, and remains a pioneer in the industry - bringing together a diverse group of professionals from many other countries, united by passion for their craft. Most notably, Pluscon is attended by none other than the Modesta chemist himself, Tomo! At every event, we get hand-on training and one-on-one time with the very creators of the Modesta coating lines. It's a rare learning experience that we cherish greatly.

Superior Detailer has been an active participant in four Pluscon events ever since joining the Modesta family in 2017, and we've loved every minute of them!

This invitation-only event is exclusive to Modesta installers who are approved by distributors and Modesta’s global leadership. Over three immersive days, a network of the world’s top installers, master technicians, and studio owners come together for:

• Hands-On Skill Development - detailed, technical, and intensely focused sessions designed to train and refine application techniques for Modesta coatings - led by the people who developed them.
  
• Deep-Dive Knowledge Exchange - conversations, demonstrations, and group workshop sessions that provide thorough education on chemistry and product evolution, advanced installation practices, system improvements and real-world testing, & new materials, tools, and application methods.
  
• Product Insights & Future Innovations - where installers gain early access to product updates, potential releases, and behind-the-scenes insight into the future of Modesta.

High-end detailing isn't merely guesswork. It isn't easy, nor does it come cheap - true for anything of value or quality. THE COMMUNITY THAT MAKES PLUSCON SPECIAL



We also wanted to touch on an aspect of the event that is vital to the heart and soul of what we do, yet is often overlooked. One of the most meaningful parts of Pluscon, year after year, is the sense of community that forms the moment everyone gathers in the same room. There’s something so special about being surrounded by like-minded people from all over the world who share the same interests, the same pride in their work, and the same obsession with doing things the right way. Conversations with strangers over coffee turn into lifelong friendships, shared challenges become shared solutions, and it ultimately fosters genuine respect amongst studios, resulting in a community built on trust and togetherness. It’s an environment where competitiveness is replaced by camaraderie — where everyone wants to see each other grow. Being a part of that community reminds us that we’re not just representing our own studio, but contributing to a global family of people who care deeply about the craft, and about others as well. That feeling is both grounding and incredibly energizing, fueling everything we do.

FINAL REFLECTION

Every Pluscon teaches us something new — whether about the craft, the industry, and even ourselves. But even more importantly, this year's conference at Fuji Speedway reminded us exactly why we chose Modesta and why we continue to invest in these events: because excellence doesn’t happen by accident. It is achieved only by community, commitment, and constant growth. We’re honored to represent Modesta in the U.S., to stand alongside some of the best installers in the world, and to bring this knowledge home to every vehicle we touch.
