Prep Wash/Detail, Full Front PPF, Windshield Protection, & New Corner Markers
Hey everyone! We hope you all had a fantastic Labor Day weekend! We recently had the opportunity to work on yet another stunning 2026 Porsche 911 Carrera T (this time in black), using a combination of thorough surface preparation, premium paint protection film (PPF), and durable windshield protection film. The process began with a PPF Basic Detail, as well as a full-front application of paint protection film to protect crucial areas of the body of the vehicle. We then installed windshield protection film to ensure we included coverage for the glass. To complete the package, we also installed new corner markers that our client provided us. Keep reading to learn more about the process:
PRE-PPF Basic detail
We began by treating this Porsche to a PPF Basic Detail, which included a foam-cannon pre-soak, double-bucket hand wash, and clay pad preparation. Proper preparation and cleansing is essential before applying film, as it it removes dirt, contaminants, and other debris from the exterior so that the surface is as clean and smooth as possible for optimal film adhesion and performance.
FULL-FRONT PPF
After we deep-cleaned the Carrera, we installed custom PPF on the front end of the vehicle, making sure to include the:
- Front bumper
- Full front fenders
- Full hood
- Side mirrors
We expertly wrapped the edges and curves of these areas to guarantee seamless, undetectable coverage, blending into the rest of the vehicle. This allows the car to maintain an even, cohesive finish; with a highly-skilled installer, you should not be able to see where the film starts or ends. As for the benefits, PPF provides a transparent layer of protection against everyday road hazards that are inevitable whilst driving. This may include chips from rocks or sticks, abrasion from sand or dirt, or impact from any other obstacles on the road. While incidents may still occur, paint protection film will substantially reduce the amount of damage or negative effects of impact. This film also helps preserve the factory and/or corrected paint as well.
WINDSHIELD PROTECTION + CORNER MARKER UPGRADE
Next up, we applied windshield protection film to extend protection to the glass. This adds an additional layer that effectively blocks the elements and helps to protect the windshield from road debris. We highly recommend this service to all of our clients, as it it dramatically increases the safety of your driving experience and in our opinion, is 100% worth it.
Lastly, as a finishing touch, we installed new clear corner markers that our client provided for us, in place of the original orange ones. This subtle change gave this 911 Carrera T a more refined, understated appearance while complementing its overall exterior styling.
