Hey everyone! Today we're kicking off our October posts by featuring this brand-new 2026 Porsche Carrera S in Slate Grey Neo. This just happened to be our client's first ever Porsche, so we made sure to send it on its way with ample protection and a few loving touches to give it a good foundation at the start of its journey.
We first gave the vehicle a Preparation Wash, and ended up doing a Level 1 Paint Correction, a light corrective service ideal for cars that need only a minor refresh to the paint - these could include brand new cars right from the dealership, or well-cared-for vehicles that have accumulated light scratches or imperfections. We then followed with Modesta's BC-X Paint Coating, and applied SunTek Reaction Paint Protection Film the entire front end of the vehicle to provide protection to a vulnerable zone. We finished by adding SunTek Evolve Ceramic Window Film to the front and rear side windows, as well as the back windshield.
Prep Wash
To prep the car we started with a thorough, double-bucket hand wash to remove any loose dirt and grime while minimizing the risk of introducing new scratches. Next, we used a clay bar treatment to remove the more substantial embedded contaminants.
Paint correction
Since a relatively new vehicle can still develop light swirling and fine scratches from normal washing, drying, or dealership handling, we wanted to further refine the finish of the paint and take it from great to absolutely stellar. We did a two-stage Level 1 paint correction, taking a dual-action (DA) polishing machine and the appropriate polishing products to perfect the paint and reduce any leftover minor imperfections. Doing so makes the paint surface extra smooth and restores lustre in preparation for the coating that goes on top. Think of a coating as thick, glossy sealant, which will highlight and magnify the surface underneath - which is why adjusting the paint beforehand is so crucial. A perfect surface will be exaggerated, but so will an imperfect one.
MODESTA BC-X
To help maintain and protect this Carrera's newly corrected finish, we applied Modesta BC-X paint coating over top. This premium coating offers an excellent balance of gloss, shine, and everyday performance, while still being relatively more affordable than other Modesta coatings, making it a solid choice for vehicles that are regularly driven or parked outdoors and need good protection.
As a bonus, it also has highly hydrophobic properties that help repel water from the surface, making washing easier, and helping to reduce the accumulation of everyday grime.
Overall, this product is crucial to making car maintenance more manageable. While it does not make paint scratch-proof or mean that you can forgo washing, it significantly helps preserve that freshly detailed appearance than you otherwise would have without it.
SUNTEK REACTION PAINT PROTECTION FILM
As with all of our projects. we used a customized, but most importantly, layered system. A combination of products, techniques, and steps working together cohesively is ultimately what fortifies a vehicle and gives it that durability we want. That being said, after we applied the Modesta coating, we wanted to further protect that as well with paint protection film. For this Porsche, we opted to priortize protection on the front end, which is a highly vulnerable and exposed area. We installed custom-cut SunTek Reaction Paint Protection Film across the front bumper, full hood, full front fenders, mirrors, and fog lights, with wrapped edges for a clean, seamless appearance.
PPF is a transparent, protective film designed to absorb impact or shock from road debris and help prevent rock chips, small dents, light abrasions, and other common forms of physical paint damage. SunTek Reaction also features advanced surface technology designed to help minor surface marks recover with heat under appropriate conditions. Unlike ceramic coating, which primarily helps with chemical contamination and maintenance, PPF provides a physical barrier against many everyday environmental hazards or objects. Together, these services offer complementary layers of protection.
Suntek EVOLVE CERAMIC WINDOW FILM
Lastly, we installed SunTek Evolve Ceramic Window Film on both of the front side windows, rear side windows, and the rear windshield. The purpose of this is to help reduce solar heat and block harmful UVA/UVB rays, depending on the film specifications and installation. It can vastly improve cabin comfort by letting the seats stay cooler, help protect interior materials from sun exposure, and reduce glare for a more comfortable driving experience. The addition of window film not only improves appearance by adding an aesthetic element, but it also keeps other areas of the car from overheating or fading. It also provides enhanced safety features by reducing glare, which drastically improves visibility and ease of driving.
