PREPARATION WASH

As is standard with all of our detailing work, we began with a clean slate by giving this Lexus a full double-bucket decontamination wash with a clay bar treatment. This step is crucial to clean and remove any embedded contaminants that may be lingering on the surface of the car, so that they are not stuck to the PPF or coatings that typically follow, creating unwanted bumps, rough ridges, and uneven texture.



LEVEL 1 PAINT CORRECTION

Next, we did a full Level 1 Paint Correction. Even brand-new or well-maintained vehicles like this GX 460 can have subtle blemishes in the paint like swirls or light scratches left from improper care or handling during transport. That’s where our paint correction service swoops in to save the day. This two-stage process is designed specifically for lightly marred paintwork. First, we inspect the paint under specialized lighting to identify imperfections invisible to the naked eye. Then we we go in with a DA polisher paired with a light-cut compound to safely remove surface-level scratches and scuffs without compromising paint integrity. A final refining stage further enhances clarity and depth, leaving the surface ultra-smooth and primed for ceramic coating.

ADVANCED MODESTA COATING SYSTEM

After the paint finish was perfected, we applied a robust, tailor-made combination of Modesta coatings to lock it all in and deliver unrivaled longevity, gloss, and environmental resistance—making this one of the best ceramic coating packages available for the GX. 1) Modesta BC-04 Nano-Titanium Glass Coating provides:

• Increasing the coating’s lifespan and helping preserve that freshly-detailed look

3) Modesta Exterior Plastic Coating (EPC)

This advanced treatment was applied to all exterior parts with plastic and rubber trim, which are often the first areas to show signs of aging. Uncoated plastic is especially vulnerable to harsh UVA/UVB rays and environmental wear, leading to fading, chalking, and brittleness over time. Modesta EPC is engineered to restore and preserve these surfaces with long-lasting results by:

• Utilizing built-in UV inhibitors that help shield plastic trim from sun damage, preventing discoloration and premature aging.
• Reviving richness and depth in weathered plastics, restoring a clean, uniform appearance without looking artificially glossy.

To complete the protection package, we applied two coats of Gtechniq G1 Clear Vision Smart Glass to all exterior glass surfaces, including the front windshield, side windows, and rear glass.

Once applied, G1 forms a durable, invisible layer that repels water, bugs, road grime, and environmental/weather-related contaminants. It allows rainwater to slide off effortlessly, reducing the need for wipers and improving clarity — especially critical during night drives, heavy downpours, or snowstorms.
