There is no doubt that this “Pitch Black” 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat was in the right place! Brand new black cars with premium paint never come from the dealership in perfect condition, and this car was no exception. The paint work under our LED inspection lights showed a lot of defects like DA sanding marks, RIDS (random isolated defects), oxidation, and light surfaces scratches on every panel. Our client’s wish was to make the car not only look its best, but also protect his new 707HP monster!

Challenger SRT Hellcat received our Gtechniq New Car-PPF detail which included the following:
- Deep Decontamination
- Full Paint Correction (18hrs)
- Gtechniq C5 Wheel and caliper protection
- Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ceramic professional
- Gtechniq EXOv2 Ultra Durable
- Gtechniq L1 interior protection
Paint correction stages. Although the SRT was purchased brand new, swirls and heavy oxidation was found on the surface once we inspected it.
Below is a 50/50 comparison. Take note again that this was paint on a car that is effectively brand new. Also, this is just the start of the process. Up until the image below, we’ve decontaminated the paint with the wash and clay bar. It feels silky smooth, but under the light it still needed a lot of work to look perfect…and it started getting there once the polish began.
Wheels were removed for detailing and protection purposes. Gtechniq C5 wheel armour coating was applied on the calipers and all 4 wheels.
Here is the car in its completed glory. We weren’t able to get a final shot of the paint after the final coat was applied, but rest assured this Hellcat had not one single swirl mark or streak after it left the shop. The only streaks this beast will be leaving are the ones on the asphalt.
