Superior Detailer: Est. 2008

This month we celebrate our 15th Anniversary!

Steve (aka Karim) opened Superior Detailer in May 2008 with the goal of bringing fine auto detailing and paint protection to Central Florida. Many of our clients know the story because you've been our clients since the beginning. But for those that don't, here's a brief SD timeline:

• 2002-2008: Steve works at various car wash and detailing facilities, learning the trade and establishing his love and passion for detailing.
• May 2008: Superior Detailer LLC is established as a mobile detailing business.
• 2008-2011: Steve builds a deep clientele of high-end automobile owners in Central Florida and Daytona Beach, FL. Steve hones his craft of paint correction, protection, and fine interior and exterior detailing. He becomes an award-winning paint correction specialist and defines his business as a high-end detailing business.
• 2011: Steve starts experimenting with different ceramic coating products, settling with the Gtechniq brand and installing them in client garages
• 2013: First brick and mortar shop opens on Rio Grande Ave. in Orlando. Kim starts supporting the business part-time.
• 2015: New 2,800 sq. ft. facility opens near downtown Orlando on Pineloch Ave. Steve attends the Xpel PPF training in San Antonio, TX. Steve starts training Kim on detailing techniques like prep washing and polishing.
• 2016: Kim attends Xpel PPF Training in San Antonio and starts installing PPF in the shop with Steve. Kim and Steve meet the Modesta team at SEMA in Las Vegas and SD becomes one of three Modesta coating installers in Florida.  
• 2017: Kim joins SD full-time, leaving her proposal business. Steve attends Modesta PLUSCON in Salt Lake City, UT.
• 2018: SD becomes an exclusive Modesta coating installer and shares the coating brand with many CFL car owners.
• 2019: Gui joins the SD team, bringing extensive detailing experience. SD expands services to wheels-off and undercarriage detailing, headlight restoration, and more paint correction work to clients. Kim attends Rupes training in Colorado. Kim and Steve attend Modesta PLUSCON in Budapest for Modesta skills verification.
• October 2020: The team expands into Unit 5, doubling the space to 5,600 sq. ft.
• 2021-2022: The team continues to develop skills, cross-train, and perfect processes. Kim, Steve, and Gui attend SEMA in Las Vegas. Matt (Matty Ice) joins the team in November 2022 as the fourth team member.
• 2023: Steve attends EXOShield Windshield Protection training in Las Vegas. Team SD attends MTE in Orlando. Kim and Steve attend Modesta PLUSCON in Tokyo.

It's hard to believe that 15 years have passed since Steve took the leap and started detailing out of his RX-7. Our goal remains the same as it was 15 years ago: The Highest Quality of Detailing and Protection Services.
