Achieve Corvette Perfection in 2022: Accelerate Yellow 3LT Z51
Hi, Everyone! Kim here with our latest Detail of the Month post. We've been busy in the shop cranking out some killer detailing work, so it's hard to choose just one vehicle for our monthly post. But, the C8 3LT Z51 in Accelerate Yellow really stands out for us this month. This New Car Protection Detail is a perfect combination of Paint Protection Film and Modesta Coatings for a daily driver in Florida. It is also a great example of the style of protection our clients look for when they come to Superior Detailer.
This post includes several "after" shots that display our polish, PPF, and coating applications. Less process and more final product on this post. Enjoy!
After a phone consultation several months prior to vehicle delivery, the owner was pretty clear on the level of protection desired. And we were glad to guide the client on several other protection decisions when the vehicle was dropped off at the shop. Here's what we did:
- Wheels-off Preparation Wash (wheels removed for Modesta BC-06 Wheel/Caliper Coating application)
- Light Polish to exterior paint work
- Paint Protection Film Track Package application with Xpel Ultimate Plus PPF
- STEK DYNOflex Windshield Film Application
- Modesta BC-04 Nano Titanium Glass Coating for exterior paint work
- Modesta BC-06 High Heat Resistant Coating applied to full wheels and caliper
Accelerate Yellow Metallic Sparkles
The photo below is a great example of our paint and polish work results. Originally, the paint came to us in excellent condition. This gave Steven the opportunity to really gloss the paint for an outstanding shine prior to protection.
Film and Modesta Coatings
We did the protection work on the scissor lift for quick and easy wheel removal. We removed the wheels for a second time to apply the Modesta BC-06 wheel and caliper coating. We used Xpel Ultimate Plus Paint Protection Film on all high impact areas. We also applied STEK DYNOflex Windshield Protection Film to prevent chips and cracks to the front windshield.
The last step was Modesta BC-04 Nano-Titanium Glass Coating applied to all paint protection film and paint work.
Fully Protected and Ready for the Roads
This protection package provides the owners with ease-of-mind while daily driving this beauty. The PPF and STEK windshield protection protects the highest impact areas from rock chips and damage from road debris. The Modesta coatings will protect the Accelerate Yellow paint work and carbon flash from scratches, staining, and oxidation. It will also make cleaning the vehicle at home incredibly easy.
