Last Detail, Timeless Shine!

Kim here with our latest Detail of the Month feature. I'm so excited to share this project with you all. We already know how special this 1997 Honda NSX-R is. But what makes it even more special is that Karim used to detail this vehicle 15-16 years ago when Superior was a one-man mobile detailing business.

Karim calls this detail on the NSX the "final detail" because he is performing a final full paint correction and protecting that finish with our hardest most durable Modesta Glass Coating, BC-04. I personally loved having this vehicle in the shop and can't express just how stunning it looked when Karim left to deliver it back to the client. I hope the photos below can truly do it justice.

The commission is to bring this piece to show-room level and protected for the remaining life of the vehicle. One final correction. Here's what we did:

• Wheels-off Full Suspension Detail (removing all exterior dirt)
• Level 4 Paint Correction
• Modesta BC-04 Nano-Titanium Glass Coating Application

The Prep

This type of Superior Detail always starts with wheels removed.



Superior Detailer is a detailing business, first and foremost. Gui loves suspension and undercarriage detailing. So, we always welcome the opportunity. Gui prepared the entire exterior for a proper paint correction.





The Paint Correction

This original black JDM paint is special in several ways. This is the first black NSX that Karim polished back in 2005. It wasn't fully protected and maintained in the years that followed. And since Karim's skills and knowledge have expanded considerably since then, he really laid the hammer down on this paint. It took multiple passes, gasses, and lots of time to bring this paint back to brand new.



The Modesta Coating

We chose Modesta BC-04 Nano-Titanium Glass Coating because it is our strongest, most durable, and scratch-resistant coating.

The coating is cured with IR lamps.
