2025 Tesla Model 3 Performance - Detail, Light Polish/Correction, & Full-Front PPF
Project DETAILS:
PPF PREPARATION DETAIL, LIGHT POLISH/CORRECTION, & FULL-FRONT SUNTEK PPF

Happy Tuesday everyone! This week we're excited to feature multiple Teslas on the blog, starting with this 2025 Tesla Model 3 Performance in black.
This car is more than just a sleek electric sedan—it’s a fusion of modern innovation and top-tier performance, constructed with a minimalist design. With lightning-quick acceleration and a refined interior cabin, this electric vehicle checks off all the boxes. But even the most advanced cars are not immune to the consequences of improper care and everyday wear-and-tear - and this Model 3 was no different. This car in particular had heavy oxidation, swirling, and major surface defects that severely dulled the original glossy finish, especially under direct light. So, we designed a full-scope protection package to revitalize the lackluster exterior, starting from the paint up.
Here's a quick recap of the services provided:
- PPF Basic Detail
- Light Polish/Paint Correction (Sedan)
- Standard SunTek Paint Protection Film (PPF) installation
- PPF Add-Ons: Partial Fenders & Full Hood
PPF Basic Detail – The Foundation for Flawless Protection
Every premium protection package begins with expert prep. Before any film or coating was applied, we did a PPF Basic Detail—a methodical process that ensures every square inch of the paint is decontaminated and ready for enhancement. This included a:
- Foam Cannon Pre-Soak, which gently lifts dirt and loosens other contaminants.
- Double-Bucket Hand Wash, a meticulous two-bucket wash system that ensures the paint is cleaned without reintroducing scratches.
- Clay Pad Decontamination, which removes embedded particles that aren’t removed with washing alone. This step leaves the surface silky smooth and primed for correction.
This level of prep is essential—not just for visual clarity, but to ensure that the PPF adheres correctly and lasts as long as possible.
LIGHT POLISH & PAINT CORRECTION
The black paint on this Tesla was covered in scratches, imperfections, and the subtle haze that often comes from poor at-home maintenance or environmental exposure. To restore clarity and a flawless sheen, we began with a light paint correction.
Using a dual-action polisher, we paired precise, careful polishing with a fine-cut correction compound designed specifically for soft, delicate paint like the ones used on Teslas. This two-stage approach removes:
- Light swirl marks, marring, and scratches
- Oxidation and cloudy UV-induced haze
- Holograms from improper polishing or washing techniques
This step dramatically improved the overall tone and gloss of the jet-black paint, resulting in a smooth, deeply-reflective surface - paving the way for the finishing touches to follow.
FULL-FRONT PPF
Once we corrected the paint, it was time to lock in that finish and protect it from future damage. As a trusted PPF installer, we expertly applied SunTek Paint Protection Film to the most vulnerable, impact-prone areas of the vehicle. We carefully applied the film to the front bumper, headlights, and side mirrors—three areas most frequently exposed to damage from road debris, bug splatter, and airborne contaminants. Our skilled technicians ensured a tight, seamless fit using customized patterns and expert edge-wrapping techniques to minimize visibility and maximize protection. Not only does this PPF act as a virtually invisible shield, it also enhances the shine of the vehicle, creating a smooth, glass-like surface that resists scratching, staining, and yellowing over time. The result is a nearly invisible layer of armor that enhances the appearance while also offering elite-level protection. With this foundational protection in place, the owner can now drive with peace of mind knowing their car can withstand the rigors of real-world driving.
PPF ADD-ONS: PARTIAL FENDERS & FULL HOOD for additional coverage
To complete the front-end protection and achieve a seamless, cohesive appearance, we upgraded the package with additional coverage on the full hood and partially on the front fenders. This extended installation guaranteed that the finish transitioned cleanly from end to end across the vehicle, and ensured that any remaining exposed areas were accounted for.
The full hood application is especially important on EVs like the Tesla Model 3, where the front end slopes down, making it a magnet for debris. Extending the PPF over this wide surface adds an essential layer of protection while preserving the high-gloss impact achieved during the correction stage. Similarly, wrapping the partial front fenders prevents visible break lines and completes the visual continuity to match the rest of the car.
This thoughtful enhancement isn’t just about looks—it’s about longevity. By expanding coverage, we eliminate weak points in the protection and ensure that the entire front end benefits equally from the self-healing, hydrophobic, and UV-resistant qualities of the film. It’s a smarter, more complete way to protect your investment without compromising aesthetics.
THE FINISHED PRODUCT!
By removing oxidation, restoring the finish, and layering on advanced protection, we didn’t just give this Tesla the ultimate makeover—we gave it a clean, durable finish built to withstand the future. Check out the insane before/after comparison of the finish below:
