2021 Porsche Taycan 4S: Full Body + Wheels Matte Transformation with SunTek PPF & Modesta Coatings

Full BODY + WHEELS Transformation w/ SUNTEK ULTRA MATTE PPF & MODESTA COATINGS
Hey everyone! We're starting off this week with a true example of luxury engineering and cutting-edge design - this gorgeous 2021 Porsche Taycan 4S. Our client really wanted a bold aesthetic transformation and long-term exterior protection, fitting for a vehicle of this caliber - and Superior Detailer delivered!
Originally finished in Dolomite Silver, this Taycan 4S underwent a complete 180, starting with a full-body SunTek Ultra Matte Paint Protection Film (PPF) wrap. This instantly gave the car a smooth, satin look while laying the foundation for the ceramic coating to follow - Modesta BC-M. This Modesta coating, which is engineered specifically for matte and satin surfaces, preserves the finish and enhances the matte texture of the PPF, while also providing long-lasting protection. But the transformation didn't stop there! Not long after, our client came back with Porsche-exclusive carbon fiber wheels installed, which we then protected with PPF and Modesta BC-06 - a high heat-resistant, hard glass coating for wheels and calipers.
Now wrapped in a sleek satin finish and fortified with industry-leading protection, this Porsche doesn't just look the part - it's fully equipped to handle the road ahead with style and long-term resilience.

SURFACE PREP & PAINT REFINEMENT
Every successful protection install starts with clean, decontaminated paint. We began the process with our Preparation Wash, which included a deep decontamination and clay bar treatment to remove bonded contaminants and road grime.
From there, we performed a light machine polish—a non-aggressive correction designed to refine the surface without removing unnecessary clear coat. This step is essential when applying film or coating, as it eliminates minor surface imperfections and ensures that the matte PPF can adhere flawlessly without highlighting defects underneath.
FULL BODY MATTE PAINT PROTECTION FILM
With the surface fully prepped, we installed a full-body wrap using SunTek Ultra Matte PPF. This material not only delivers a rich, satin look—it also acts as a self-healing, impact- and scratch-resistant barrier against rock chips, scuffs, and chemical damage.
This installation wasn’t just standard—this was a custom-fit, high-end application. Panels were wrapped edge-to-edge using a mix of tailored pre-cut patterns and hand-trimmed custom work. Emblems were removed and reinstalled for a seamless finish, and special attention was given to maintaining uniform texture across curved panels. Matte PPF is hard to work with and can easily be ruined if not careful - however, Karim and Kim, who led this part of the process, made it look easy - and their painstaking work represents exceptional, quality craftsmanship. MODESTA BC-M MATTE COATING
After wrapping, we elevated the finish further with Modesta BC-M, a ceramic coating engineered specifically for matte and satin surfaces. Unlike traditional coatings that add glossiness, BC-M enhances the richness and evenness of matte finishes by giving it a soft, blurred look that's anything but dull! It also forms a protective shell over the film that resists UVA/UVB fading, etching, staining, and environmental fallout, all while making cleaning easier. Clients can expect this coating to last anywhere from 3 to 10 years, making this a long-lasting protective solution.

GTECHNIQ GLASS COATING
Next, we coated the front windshield with Gtechniq G1 Clear Vision Smart Glass Coating, a professional-grade hydrophobic treatment that improves water shedding, enhances visibility in rain, and reduces windshield wiper marks. Two coats were applied to maximize longevity and optical clarity, offering up to 2 years of durable performance.
Modesta MAINTENANCE WASH
After the initial transformation, our client returned with a fresh set of wheels in need of protection. But before we began the process of adding the PPF and ceramic coatings, we gave the entire Taycan its first Modesta maintenance wash - a critical follow-up step after initial coating installation. We used deionized water to gently wash the exterior, wheels, and wheel wells. The interior of the vehicle was also lightly vacuumed, and Modesta M4 was applied to enhance performance and ensure proper curing.

WHEEL & CALIPER PROTECTION
After the maintenance wash, we got to work on the wheels and break calipers. The client had a new set of Porsche-exclusive carbon fiber wheels installed. To match the protection level of the bodywork, we removed all four wheels and wrapped them with custom-cut PPF—an uncommon but highly effective way to defend high-end finishes from curb rash, staining, and road debris. You can see the wrap coating the wheels in the photo above (top, center).
We then applied Modesta BC-06, a high heat-resistant glass coating formulated for wheels and calipers, which was then cured using IR lamps (see above photo, top center). Known for its hardness and stain resistance, BC-06 withstands the intense heat of braking systems while repelling brake dust, water marks, and environmental grime. For enhanced hydrophobicity and ease of maintenance, we also layered on the BC-06TC topcoat.
A NEW LOOK BUILT TO LAST
With its new, stealthy matte finish, full-body paint protection film, tailored Modesta coatings, and custom wheel defense, this Porsche now has some serious armour! It is now fully protected against environmental wear, chemical staining, and the demands of real-world driving.No square inch of this vehicle has been left unconsidered - resulting in a refined and future-proof car that is as striking as it is protected.
