Happy Friday from the Superior Detailer fam! To start the weekend off right we're doing a deep dive into this sleek and striking 2025 Rivian R1T Adventure. This beauty is more than just your average truck. With its quad-motor powertrain, over 800 horsepower, and futuristic design, it blends rugged capability with refined luxury. Built for off-road thrills and zero-emission cruising, the R1T delivers cutting-edge tech/safety features, impressive range, large towing capability, and smart storage solutions that make it as versatile as it is bold. It’s the kind of vehicle that deserves protection worthy of its performance.
This truck in particular came to our shop brand-new from the factory, but its owner wanted to take it to the next level and elevate it even further. Our client wanted to add long-term protection and a finish that could handle wear-and-tear that comes with major adventure. And that's where we came in! While Rivian’s build quality is exceptional, it takes expert-level detailing to unlock its full visual and functional potential. Premium prep & DECONTAMINATION
Before any protection is added to the vehicles we work on, the exterior surface needs to be flawless. We started on this project with our signature Preparation Wash for trucks, which includes a double-bucket decontamination hand wash and a thorough clay bar treatment. This removes any embedded grime and microscopic debris invisible to the eye—but critical to eliminate before polishing or coating.
LIGHT POLISH & Paint correction
Even on brand-new vehicles like this one, the paint isn’t always perfect straight from the factory. Light transport handling, dealership prep, or outdoor delivery exposure can introduce micro-marring, faint swirls, or surface haze. To ensure the best possible finish before protection, our detailing team performed a meticulous light machine polish using a dual-action polisher and precision-cut abrasives. This process gently removes those subtle imperfections, enhances clarity and depth, and preps the surface for optimal bonding with ceramic coatings or paint protection film. It’s a crucial step that often gets skipped—but makes all the difference when you're striving for that flawless, high-gloss look.
STANDARD PPF Installation - impact protection where it matters
Even with a high-gloss finish, a daily-driven vehicle like the R1T needs real-world protection. As a trusted PPF installer, we wrapped all the high-risk areas in SunTek Ultra Gloss Paint Protection Film—including the front bumper, headlights, mirror caps, and A-pillars. These zones are first in the line of fire when it comes to impact from stray rocks/gravel, rogue tree branches, bug splatter, and other road debris. Today’s modern PPF is nearly invisible, self-healing, and ultra-clear, so you get robust protection without sacrificing appearance. For anyone who drives along highways, backroads, or trails, this step is non-negotiable.
MODESTA BC-08 CERAMIC COATING
To lock in the PPF, we applied Modesta BC-08 Neosillica Matrix Coating to the body. It's one of the best ceramic coating options on the market for drivers of luxury vehicles. Engineered in Japan and trusted worldwide, this auto ceramic coating forms a thick, three-dimensional layer that delivers:
- Extreme gloss and color depth, thanks to zirconium content
- Unrivaled water-repellency and self-cleaning behavior that makes washing a breeze
- Exceptional scratch and marring resistance, helping to preserve paint even under daily wear
- Long-term UVA/UVB and chemical protection that shields your investment

MODESTA EXTERIOR GLASS COATING
To complete the full-vehicle protection, we applied Modesta’s Exterior Glass Coating (EGC) to all windows and the windshield. This advanced silica-based formula delivers outstanding hydrophobic properties, so water beads off instantly—improving visibility during storms and reducing nighttime glare.
But the benefits go beyond just mere function - clean, coated glass keeps you and your passengers safer, and also transforms the driving experience. On rainy nights, visibility improves.
