Hi everyone! Today we have an incredibly special and shall we say, bittersweet feature on the blog. We recently had the pleasure of detailing this 1998 Porsche 911 Carrera S in Guards Red, a truly timeless example of heritage and understated luxury. This model rolled into our shop already meticulously well-cared for and cherished by the owner, but our client wanted to treat this Porsche to a little something extra and keep it in tip-top shape. Which can never hurt! Even the most clean, near-pristine vehicles can hide the faintest of imperfections and use a bit of a touch-up. We gave it a good wash, performed a thorough, intensive paint correction, and topped it off with a lustrous Modesta ceramic coating to provide that signature glossiness the cars at our shop are known for. This classic beauty now glows! Unfortunately, we learned that our client was moving out-of-state soon after. It's a sad parting, but we're confident that this stunning car will remain loved for years to come and continue to turn heads wherever life takes it! We're truly honored that we got at least a chapter in this Porsche's story.

PREPARATION WASH
We started off by performing a full double-bucket decontamination wash, followed by a thorough clay bar treatment to remove bonded contaminants that can interfere with the clarity and smoothness of the exterior. Our goal was to ensure that every inch of this paint was exceptionally clean so as to provide a good foundation for the paint correction and ceramic coating to follow.
LEVEL 2 PAINT CORRECTION
Only the best will do. Here at our studio we take pride in providing impeccable, luxurious results for our clients - not just your standard, rushed, run-of-the-mill work that leaves much to be desired. Our commitment to quality and next-level attention to detail is unrivaled, even for cars where it seems like there's nothing left to possibly be done.
The paint on this Porsche was already beautifully preserved, but we wanted to give it the luxury treatment it deserved and amp it up even further. Our Level 2 Correction extracts a level of clarity that simply cannot be achieved through traditional polishing or maintenance work at other shops. Conducted over 8–12 hours, we performed a two-stage enhancement, which removed light scratches and minor swirl patterns that muted the natural richness of the paint color.
First we used a moderate-strength polishing system to restore depth and eliminate subtle defects without ruining the original paint. Then, we refined the surface using a lighter-cut swirl remover, resulting in a finish that is glossy, fluid, and more reflective. An arduous process, yes - but the finished result was well worth it. Modesta BC-08 Neosillica Matrix Coating
Once we corrected the paint, we sealed in the result with Modesta BC-08, one of the best ceramic coatings for daily-driven vehicles that is both effective and affordable. It's infused with zirconium for increased shine and optical clarity, and forms a three-dimensional neosillica matrix over the paint that delivers:
- Exceptional gloss and luster
- Strong self-cleaning behavior
- Outstanding water repellency
- A thick protective barrier
This product preserves the finish, defends against environmental wear, and ensures the owner can enjoy their car for years to come, no matter where the road takes it.
BC-08, while more affordable than our other coating options, was the ideal match for this Porsche because the paint was already in exceptionally strong condition. Rather than overdoing the finish with a more expensive system it simply didn’t need, we went with a solution that complemented the condition of the vehicle perfectly. It provided the perfect balance of gloss, protection, and longevity that the owner wanted—enhancing the car’s near-pristine surface without unnecessary layers reserved for vehicles needing far more restoration.
