COMPLETE OVERHAUL WITH FULL DETAIL, PPF/PAINT CORRECTION, & MODESTA COATING

The GT3 RS is a true testament to Porsche's commitment to excellence. This Lizard Green 2019 Porsche GT3 RS came to us under new ownership for a complete overhaul. We removed old track PPF and prepared it for track days with the new owner. The Lizard Green color is a real showstopper and we are thrilled that we can give it the treatment it deserves. Here's a list of what we did to the vehicle:

• Paint Protection Film (PPF) and decal removal
• Wheels-Off Detail to remove years of track grime
• Polish work to remove swirls, marring, and other paint defects
• Paint touch-ups to chipped areas
• PPF Track coverage to prepare for upcoming track events
• New decal installation
• Modesta BC-X Coating to protect the new finish and PPF

The paragraphs and photos below show our detailed process. We brought this vehicle back to new for the new owner and fully protected for track days.

Old PPF Removal

The original PPF was dated and worn. It was time to replace it. We safely remove all PPF and factory decals. This allows us to fully polish all panels before new protection is installed.



Wheels-Off Preparation Detail and Paint Correction

Our correction and protection work always starts with a proper Preparation Wash and Detail. We remove the wheels on this particular vehicle to get to the stuck-on tar from previous track days. We decontaminate and clay bar the surface as standard preparation processes, and then touch up any minor paint chips using Dr. Color Chip paint chip repair kits. These are sold as DIY kits and are actually fairly easy to use. Interested in doing some touchup yourself? Shoot us a text and we're happy to help!

Steve then performs a Level 1 Paint Correction to remove water spots, swirls and marring from the paint. This step also prepares the paint for new PPF and coating applications. Preparation is key! You can see evidence of water spots and swirls in the photo below (second row, first photo):

PPF and New Decal Installation

We apply the appropriate amount of PPF for the vehicle and owner needs. For this 911, it includes PPF to the full hood, front fenders, headlights, front bumper, rocker panels, mirrors, rear splash area, a-pillars, and partial roof. This combination we refer to as our "Track Pack" coverage, designed specifically for track vehicles. We use premium SunTek Reaction Paint Protection Film for this job. We remove the wheels during the installation process for easier custom fitments. You can see here in this first photo below how much space is cleared once the wheels are removed. We install some pieces fully custom.

Modesta BC-X

The Modesta coating is the "icing on the cake" and really finalizes the whole job in terms of protection and the way the paint work looks. Modesta BC-X currently sits on this paint work providing a high level of gloss and hydrophobicity. This coating is rated to last up to 6 years. We always believe in protecting the PPF. The Modesta coating will make it very easy to clean the vehicle and PPF after heavy track days - think about the rubber and tar that sits on the vehicle! A love bug can eat right through clear coat on a vehicle if not immediately removed. Those same love bugs will also stain and etch your PPF if not immediately removed. The coating can help prevent this by increasing the ease of maintenance.



First Modesta Wash After Track Day

The first Modesta wash is important and we always encourage clients to bring the vehicle back for the first wash. For this vehicle, the first wash was a post-track detail. The photos below show some of the rubber that we cleaned off the vehicle.

The end result is a vehicle that looks brand new and stays that way for the life of ownership.
